I recently picked up some Pussywillow from Trader Joe’s and had it in a few vases around the house, but I longed for something more colorful to celebrate the season and upcoming Easter holiday. And I love how they look like little bunny tails! While making the Wooden Bead Easter Bunnies (tutorial is here), I decided to use the same acrylic paint to make a more colorful table arrangement to accompany our new bunny family.
As the shelter-in-place changed our lives so quickly, and with so much new-found time at home, I was desperate to find ways to make our home more festive. Everyday can’t be Groundhog Day, and marking time seems more important than ever! With Easter on the horizon, I wanted some festive decor for my family to enjoy, that didn’t involve an unnecessary trip to the store.

Supplies
- Pussywillow (and if you don’t have any, try some small twigs or branches off a tree in your yard)
- Acrylic paint (I used Ceramcoat for a very matte finish)
- Small paint brush
- Vase (whatever you have on hand)
This doesn’t need much a tutorial, just use a small brush, take your time and enjoy! I did two coats to make sure it covered it completely. And can I tell you how fun it was to have such an easy, mindless project to take my mind off of things, if only for a few minutes?

These are unusual times so we have to get a little resourceful with whatever we have on hand.
What do you have in your house right now that you can re-purpose to bring your family a little joy?
