Welcome and thanks for stopping by!
I’m Cheryl, a self-proclaimed avid maker of all things fun, festive or delicious. When crafting, whether its food, party decor, or something for the home, I subscribe to the close-enough rule, perfection is not the goal. Join me in making anything, or everything — and in the process you just might make your day.
Making is a common thread in my life. As a child, my days were filled with arts and crafts supplies and a desire to try everything. It led me to major in architecture in college (where I met my husband a fellow maker and what I like to call a craft-enabler) back in the day when models and drawings were made by hand. After graduation, I quickly learned that spending my days detailing windows was not my bag, so I switched desks and took on the marketing for the firm. I continue to market architectural services, and take a “crafting” approach to creating proposals and interviews for prospective projects. Regardless of my “day job”, I’m always making.
Fast forward many years, I now have endless inspiration with my two children, ages 6 and 8. Making has never been as fun as it is when viewed through their eyes! I encourage them, and everyone, to make for the sake of making. It’s about enjoying the creative process, not the end result.
Enough about me. What are we going to make next?!
